Refund Policy

When you can get your money back, how long it takes, and the cases where we will not refund.

Last updated 14 August 2026

Draft — not yet in force. This document is missing the operating entity's registered details, which a privacy policy and terms of service are legally required to state. Fill in ss_legal_operator() in _legal_page.php and have the result reviewed by a lawyer in your jurisdiction before relying on it.

Try it before you pay

Every account starts with a 3-day free trial of the full product — every listing checked on the same schedule, real alerts, nothing held back. The trial is there so you can find out whether StaySonar works for your market before any money changes hands.

If it is not for you, simply do not continue. When a trial ends without a paid plan your account becomes read-only rather than being deleted — your calendars and history stay where they are.

14-day refund on your first payment

If you take a paid plan and change your mind, tell us within 14 days of the first charge and we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason.

This applies to your first payment on an account, monthly or yearly.

Yearly plans

Beyond the first 14 days, you can cancel a yearly plan at any time and we will refund the unused whole months remaining, calculated from the end of the month in which you cancel.

Worked example: on a $171 yearly plan cancelled after 4 months, 8 whole months remain, so the refund is 8/12 of $171 — $114.

Monthly plans

Cancel whenever you like. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. We do not part-refund a month in progress, because you keep the service for all of it.

When something is our fault

If StaySonar fails to do the one thing it is for — checking your listings and telling you what changed — for a sustained period, tell us and we will refund the affected time whether or not you are inside any window. That includes prolonged outages and extended failures to collect or deliver alerts.

It does not include short interruptions, individual missed checks, or Airbnb changing or blocking access to the data on their side, which is outside our control and covered by sections 3 and 4 of the Terms of Service.

What we do not refund

  • Periods you used normally and simply decided against later, outside the windows above.
  • Accounts closed by us for a breach of the Terms of Service — for example reselling or republishing the data.
  • Dissatisfaction with what the data shows. StaySonar reports that a night stopped being offered; it cannot tell you whether that was a booking or a host blocking the date, and it says so plainly throughout the product before you pay.

How to ask

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and tell us which payment you mean. No form, no retention call.

  • We reply within 2 business days.
  • Approved refunds are issued within 5 business days, to the original payment method.
  • How long it then takes to appear is up to your bank or card issuer — usually 5 to 10 business days.

Your statutory rights

This policy is in addition to any rights you have under consumer law where you live, and does not replace them. If your local law gives you a longer cancellation period or a stronger remedy, that law applies.
